Mena Electric George Humphries
Mena Electric, owned by George and Sherry Humphries, has been serving the Mena/Polk County Area since 1987. After moving to Mena, George quickly became the primary
electrical contractor for the area. Mena Electric's fist contract in 1987 was the new Mena McDonald's. Later contracts included the new Madd-Ox grocery store,
additions to Rich Mountain Community College, the Union Bank of Mena, remodel of the Polk County Library, updated fiber optic communications for local businesses, Chambers
Bank, Grace Bible Church, Arvest Bank, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, First National Bank in WalMart, and several other local businesses.
During the mid-90's, the need for stand-by power generators became evident in the agriculture industry. Having had much experience with generators in the oil field
, this was an easy need for George to meet. Through the years, water plants and medical facilities as well as home owners, have realized the need for back-up power during
the occasional ice storm and hurricane weather. To date, Mena Electric has installed over 650 generators ranging in size from small home units to large
commercial, back-up power supply units. George is experienced in all makes of generator repair. Our son-in-law, Jonathon Scott, is a Journeyman Electrician in Oklahoma and Arkansas and completes our
installations in a very timely manner. He is factory-trained in the service and repair of the Guardian generator systems.
